Having trouble with Earth Science? Want to be a "Down to Earth" person? Well you found the right place!
Before you start asking questions, though, I ask you to read these rules and understand them before posting. These rules must be followed at all times.
~Follow All Site Rules~No Spamming: This is the Earth Science thread. If you have a question about Geology, Oceanography, Astronomy, Meteorology, etc. You ask here. If your question doesn't pertain to Earth Science find a thread that is more appropriate. Another form of Spamming is posting nonsense words or sentences that serve no purpose. For example if you want to say: "I just ate a cookie. And it was yummy." or "Why is the sad cebu sad?" Those type of questions are considered spam and will be closed right away.
~Be Patient: I know that when you have a question you are eager to get it answered, but sometimes we can't get to it right away. Please be patient with us. There might come a time when your question will go unanswered for a period of time. This doesn't mean that we are ignoring you. We all have lives outside of the internet.
~Be Polite: If you disagree with something another student says or you want to correct someone on a question, please try your best to be polite. We are all friends here, and we want to be courteous to each other. Before you say something that might hurt another person's feelings, think about how the other person will take it first.
~We Are All Students Here: There might be a question that we won't understand or know the answer to. It happens. This is a Student to Student forum, and we are just learning things ourselves. If we don't know the answer to the question we will certainly tell you, and help figure out the answer. That way we all learn.
~Do not post "Answer only" replies: If you want to help another student and know the answer to his/her question, that is fantastic. Just keep in mind we are trying to help people understand Earth Science. Please don't post answers to questions without explaining them. Explain the steps you went through to get that answer, and how you understand it.
~No plagiarizing: If you "google" an answer to a question, make sure you cite where you get your answer from. Plagiarizing is serious business and will not be taken lightly.
~Always check the Thread Index before posting: If your question has already been answered the link will go in the
Thread Index. Please do not make duplicate threads.
Lastly, have fun learning! Learning doesn't always have to be a chore, and besides popular belief, science can be fun! If you have any questions feel free to PM me. C:
